Fifield Road Apothecary

Building Your Home Apothecary, SPRING EDITION, Sunday 14th April 9.30-3.30

Join forager and community herbalist Leslie Astor of Fifield Road Apothecary for this day long, hands on workshop, where you'll learn all about how to begin harvesting, processing and working with herbs-both wild and cultivated-as supportive allies for first aid and home health.

We'll begin the morning with a foraging walk to identify and harvest some beautiful springtime plants that can be consumed as both nutritious food and supportive medicine. We'll talk about plant folklore and stories that help us to understand our plant allies on a deeper level. We'll then return to the workshop where we'll discuss what spring herbs in particular mean for our health, then make several medicinal preparations that you can utilise throughout the year. We'll cover how to best process and preserve your plants, and make teas, tinctures and many things in between.

You'll take home a huge dose of empowered inspiration, a helpful handout and some herbal goodies to get you started on your journey to becoming a home herbalist. This course is for beginners-no prior knowledge of herbs is required.

This workshop includes tea, coffee and light lunch.

*Please note that this workshop is educational only, and not intended to diagnose or treat any illness.

This workshop will take place in our beautiful new creative learning space, The Workshop, Unit 3, Home Farm Yard, OX7 6QF, just down the road from the Bruern Farm Shop & Cafe.
