Join forager and community herbalist Leslie Astor of Fifield Road Apothecary for this two hour long evening workshop, where we'll learn to make a wonderful winter tonic called Fire Cider. Using lots of the herbs best harvested in autumn, fire cider is an easy to make and must have kitchen folk remedy, containing many warming ingredients to help stoke the fires of our immunity during the winter months. Fire Cider makes a great gift for family and friends, too, so if you're thinking about a handmade holiday this year this workshop is a great place to start.
During this workshop, we'll also talk about some other commonly used kitchen remedies that the home herbalist can turn to for health in the colder months as well, many of them already in our pantries or kitchen gardens.
This workshop will take place at Bruern Farms Cafe, West Oxfordshire, at the Milton/Bruern junction, OX7 6QF
Price includes all materials and ingredients needed to make your own batch of Fire Cider, plus coffee/tea and light refreshments. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or food allergies upon registration.
